DESCRIPTION:Join the Skippack Historical Society for our Annual Members Dinner\, an evening to celebrate the past year and the community that makes our work possible. \nEnjoy a night of great food\, drinks\, and camaraderie\, along with a special historic presentation\, raffles\, and more as we reflect on the year and look ahead. \nSunday\, November 1st5:00 PMHotel Fiesole in Skippack Village \nAll are welcome but invitations will be mailed to current members. If you believe you should have received an invitation and did not\, please contact us. \nWe look forward to celebrating together! \n2026 Presenter is Nathaniel Guest: \nNathaniel C. Guest\, Esq.\, is a Pottstown-based preservationist\, attorney\, and educator whose work has helped save some of southeastern Pennsylvania’s most significant historic places. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust\, which restored the Civil War-era “Secret Valley Line” between Boyertown and Pottstown and now operates it as one of the most highly rated heritage railways in North America. He also founded the Pennhurst Memorial and Preservation Alliance\, the grassroots organization dedicated to preserving the former Pennhurst State School and Hospital campus as a museum and memorial of conscience — named grassroots non-profit of the year by the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia — and the Keystone Marker Trust\, which works with PennDOT\, municipalities\, and historical societies across the Commonwealth to restore and re-install the beloved keystone-shaped town markers once found at the entrance to every Pennsylvania community. He serves as President of the Board of Preservation Pennsylvania\, the Commonwealth’s statewide historic preservation advocacy organization\, and on the board of the Schuylkill River Greenway Association and National and State Heritage Area. A Visiting Lecturer at Cornell University’s Department of City and Regional Planning\, he teaches historic preservation law\, neighborhood revitalization\, and land use\, and his scholarship on legal rights for historic property\, published in the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review\, received the national Burton Award for Legal Achievement\, presented by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the Library of Congress. He holds a J.D.\, cum laude\, from Temple University School of Law and both a Master of Historic Preservation Planning and a B.A. from Cornell University.
